March 31st, 2004 - NBA Basketball -
Detroit Pistons vs. L.A. Clippers - The Metro Detroit Alumni Chapter invite CMU alumni and friends to
see Central Michigan's own Chris Kaman and the L.A. Clippers battle the
Detroit Pistons! Plan to join us for the pre-game reception in the East
Hospitality Room (please use the East Entrance), the reception will begin at
6:00 pm and the cost for the reception will be $10/person. You can order your
game tickets through the Office of Alumni Relations by calling
1-800-358-6903, or online via the online registration link, cost for the

April 22nd, 2004 - Lem Tucker Speaker
Series - On behalf of CMU
President Mike Rao and Frank Fountain, Honorary Chair of the Lem Tucker
Speaker Series and President of the Daimler Chrysler Corporate Fund, Central
Michigan University is pleased to invite you and or your organization to
consider serving as a sponsor and or attending the Eighth Annual Lem Tucker Speaker
Series and Scholarship Event on April 22, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at The Atheneum in Greektown in
downtown Detroit. The keynote speaker will be Mr. James Earl Jones, one of
America’s most distinguished communicators. Mr. Jones has been honored
with an Oscar nomination, two Tony Awards, and the National Medal of Arts
award. Tickets for the event are $125 and will be available after February

Park - You are invited to
attend CMU Day at Comerica Park on Friday May 14, 2004. The Detroit Tigers

and staff. Upper box seats are $10.00 per person, which is half off the

April 14th, 2004 - Griffin Policy Forum - The Future of Gambling in Michigan, public reception located in the
Park Library's Baber Room, 6:00 - 7:15 PM. The Griffin policy forum begins at

and Lot 18 near Park Library. The Griffin policy forums are hosted twice
yearly by the Robert and Marjorie Griffin Endowed Chair in American
Government, the College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences, and
the Department of Political Science at Central Michigan University.
